The dramatically shaped carbon steel blade is set in a sturdy, newly redeisgned, easier to grip handle with gator over-mold. It's perfect for clearing out brush and limbs from tree stands and stream settings. A non-stick coating on the blade reduces friction. The contoured contains a polyethylene board to protect the user and the blade, a five coil zipper and Velcro retention strap.

Bought this Machete and used it for about a week and the handle just broke while I was cutting a limb, then I realized that it was a plastic shaft handle. I haven't got back with Gerber yet I am trying to find a number to call. I liked the feel of this Machete but it can't hold up under pressure. I hope they will give it a better handle and I hope they will fix mine.
