Cold Steel President, Lynn C. Thompson’s design for the Naga Thrower, with its distinctive blade and handle, was strongly inspired by his twenty-seven years of Filipino Martial Arts study and training. It is made from 1055 Carbon steel and heat treated to a tough spring temper and, with its baked-on rust resistant finish, it will stand up to virtually thousands of throws. It can be thrown from the handle or blade (the tip has a sharp edge, so a blade throw must be done with care), and with its four points for sticking a target (tip, PommelButt Cap / Pommel: The pommel refers to the end of the handle of a knife. Many knives have a metal cap over the pommel, called a butt cap. Often the pommel is interesting because of a decoration; however, there are different forms of working pommels.
