  Product Information
As its name suggests, our G.I. Tanto
Tanto
Tanto Blade: The classic Japanese tanto shape has the point exactly inline with the spine of the blade, and has a graceful belly curve. Most tantos seen on the American cutlery market are the Americanized tanto format. Like the Japanese tanto, the Americanized tanto has a high-point in-line with the spine. A flat grind is applied to the point, leaving it very thick and massively strong. The front edge meets the bottom edge at an obtuse angle, rather than curving to meet it as in the Japanese tanto. There is a separate grind applied to the bottom edge, often a hollow grind to leave this edge extremely sharp. Other tanto formats have become popular also, and modifications such as clipping the point or applying a chisel-grind are often seen.
is a no-nonsense tactical knife that comes with a legion of practical uses. It may be lean and spare, but it delivers the goods where they count the most! The broad Tanto

point blade, integral quillionGuard
Guard
Hand Guard: The guard is a barrier between your hand and the sharp edge. It will project out of the handle, to stop forward motion of your hand. The guard can be a separate component that is soldered or pinned on the blade, or an integral design element that can be formed by including a projection on the blade blank itself. On some fighters, the guards are meant not just to protect your hand from sliding up on the blade, but also to provide protection from the opponent's blade sliding down your blade and onto your hand.
, and Paracord wrapped handle, exemplify a tactical knife stripped down to its bare essentials. It’s ground razor sharp steel with a hard spring temper and protected by a black, rust resistant finish so it’s ready to take all the abuse you and Mother Nature can dish out.

Heavy, sharp and wonderfully balanced, it’s easy to throw by either the blade or handle and it hits with real vigor. In a survival or self-defense situation, it can be quickly and easily converted into a spear or war club. Just remove the Para cord wrap and use it to lash the blade securely to a suitable wooden shaft! Best of all, it’s a great value. Please don’t throw away hundreds and hundreds of dollars on similar knives sold by convicted felons and rip off artists posing as elite “military operators”. Get the real G.I. Tanto

Great knife, but weak tip

This knife is a great thrower! It is well balanced and penetrates deeply because of its thin blade. It also is very sharp and is a great hacker in a pinch. The only problem with this knife is that after about 10 mins of throwing the tip broke off, this wasn't a big deal with me because after a few minutes I was able to make a new sharp point. Make sure if you get this knife as a thrower to have a sharpening stone! In spite of this, this is still a great knife!
