The Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife takes inspiration from a 1950’s classic. It has all the features that made the original an award-winning, international favorite. Our more contemporary version is made out of 4116 Krupp Stainless steel and hollow ground to a razor edge. It will glide through just about any material because its elliptical profile is very efficient at reducing cutting drag.
The Polypropylene handle is equally efficient, fitting snugly in virtually any hand. It’s slightly offset in relation to the blade to keep one’s fingers safely out of the way. Light and tough enough to endure hard knocks, it will never break or fall apart in the way a traditional wood handle is prone to do.
This 2-ounce blade comes complete with a pouch style black Cordura SheathA method for carrying a knife, tool, light, etc., on your belt, pack or anywhere a strap is. Sheaths are made of ballistic nylon, leather, kydex and various other materials. Sheaths usually come with a Velcro or snap closure. . It’s light, slim and compact enough to carry on your belt or slung from a cord around your neck day in and day out.

Excellent Small/Mid-sized Utility Knife

I purchased this Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife to see what it was like, and I am back to purchase a few more. First it is light, sharp, and serviceable. Second it is quite reasonably priced. My wife commandeered the first one as her new kitchen all purpose knife. Now I am ordering two more, one for general use and a second to add to my BOK (bug out kit). It will make a good light weight camp knife. The offset handle looked odd to me at first, but I found it quite comfortable and convenient. The blade is a good design for anything from general cutting to skinning, though a little thick at the spine for thin slicing. It is too small and light for heavy field or survival use - get the Trail Master Bowie or Recon Tanto for that, but it is just right to wear as a neck knife or slip on your belt and forget about it until needed. Good tool - recommended.
