got this knife as a fathers day gift in 09, the knife feels great and looks really good and the blade stays really sharp. the problem i'm having is the screws coming loose and loosing them. gerber really needs to do something about that.if i can keep it from falling apart it would be the perfect knife.

I have had this knife for over 2 years and it is as solid as the day I bought it. Great action and the blade is holding up well. One handed operation is smooth. The only issue I have with this knife is that if I whittle with it for a while the thumb grip ridge on the top starts to make my thumb sore, I need to put some thing between my thumb and the grip. At first this grip looks and feels great but after you use it a bit a smooth grip would have been better. Over all great knife for the price.

I like the way this knife feels and the blade assisted release is great.
However the assembly of the knife is very poor. The whole assembly came unfastened after about 2 weeks.
I retightened the screws and I had to add new ones because I lost two screws. Ok so I can deal with that but it just keeps falling apart.
I’ll try some loctite on the screws this time. I expected a lot more for 40.00 bucks.

This knife falls apart great design on paper but knife falls apart after about a week. do not buy
