Seatbelt cutter issue

This knife is excellent but I do have an issue with the hook cutter, while it works ok, it would be excellent if the blade was cut at an angle so that it will not only cut but is able to start and continue the cut as the blade is pulled through the material. This is the only thing that kept me from giving this knife a perfect 5.

Worth every Penny !!!

I've had this knife for about 2 years and can't live w/o it. I've used it to pry open locks, break car windows, cut seatbelts. The knife tip isn't sharp so it's realitively safe to cut clothes however the seat belt cutter works just as well if not better than trauma sheers. I haven't found a use the O2 key yet. I have never used the tools that come with it. Put them in my bunker locker and they haven't moved since.

While watching multiple people trying to cut off a motorcycleist full lether suit, unsucsessfully, with trauma sheers I was able to slice through with the seatbelt hook without any problem.

I found this knife to very usefull in the field. i am a marine stationed in iraq and i bought this knife before the CLS was ever thought of. I have never used a knife as much as i have this one. granted its a little heavy but really who cares suck it up. the knife comes with great attributes in case of emergencys like humvee rollovers. gerber had it right when they made this knife.

I have been in EMS for over 20 years and have had many knives that I thought were damn fine. I was introduced to the Hinderer Rescue Knife and was amazed. I don't think there is another knife that holds a match to this knife. I was so impressed I have shown it to co-workers and friends and they have bought one. Thanks Rick Hinderer

Broken Window

Good features, heavy knife. When used in the field I found that the window breaking device is useless, and when not used practically its a pain as it provides a sharp point to scratch yourself on. Also seems the knife catch is a little lighter than i like.
