  Product Information
Introducing a clip folder for knife people who prefer the look of a straight spine; the profile reveals a "seamless" design that begins at the back of the blade and continues along the length of the upper edge of the handle. In fact, the EVO and EVO JR. actually have a little bit of the dagger in them.

Another aesthetic design touch is the series of seven slanting oval openings in the anodized
anodized
Anodized Material: A metal, typically aluminum, that has been coated with a protective or decorative layer of oxide, through a process of electrochemical conversion. The anodizing process affects the surface as well as the interior the metal. The anodized parts are quite durable, do not tarnish, resist abrasions, and maintain their cosmetic appearance for a long period of time.
aluminum handle. They serve to make these knives both organic and aggressive. Functionally, the oval openings further reduce the overall weight of these knives to near nothingness.

The blades are constructed of 440 stainless steel that is coated with Titanium
Titanium
Titanium Metal: A material that can be both hard and tough; widely used to armor jet fighters. About 1/3 lighter than steel. Very useful for knife parts, but will not hold an edge so is not useful as a blade.
nitride for added corrosion resistance. There''s a thumb stud for easy one-handed opening. And, there''s an integral fingerGuard
Guard
Hand Guard: The guard is a barrier between your hand and the sharp edge. It will project out of the handle, to stop forward motion of your hand. The guard can be a separate component that is soldered or pinned on the blade, or an integral design element that can be formed by including a projection on the blade blank itself. On some fighters, the guards are meant not just to protect your hand from sliding up on the blade, but also to provide protection from the opponent's blade sliding down your blade and onto your hand.
for an extra measure of safety. Bottom line? You''d do well to own such a highly evolved knife.

Great value. Great knife.

I've had my EVO for a little over a week now. I am overall very pleased with this knife. I've owned a few Gerbers and this one is my favorite so far. Its design is great. It has a sleek, aggressive look and a slim shape that makes it easy to carry. It is sized and designed to handle real tasks while maintaining a classy look that doesn't draw too much attention. My only initial complaint was the stiffness of the knife when using the finger flip. But now it is broken in perfectly without any modifying or loosening of the mechanism. This knife is a really good choice because of the amazing thirty dollar price tag. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone.

Four cool features

1. The quick flip open is handy and really cool - good for self defense or just fast access. 2. The handle shape fits in the grip securely, like a sword. The thumb knob does double duty as a dagger-like crosstree. 3. The blade is simple, sraight-ish and tough. 4. This thing is really sleek and light!

I have had this knife for two years now and it has been great. I live on a farm and use it everyday most knives I break within six months. The only down fall is I cant find anymore like it so gerber send me one when you make more

knife feels very sturdy and has a very comfortable feel to it. i was amazed at how light it is. the only problem that i have noticed is that it takes alot of pressure to use the finger flip to open it. i thought it would open a little easier however still a good knife.
