The L.S.T. story began about twenty-five years ago when Pete Gerber pushed for the design of an synthetic-handled knife that could rightly be described as "Light-Strong-Tough." Later on, the prevailing wisdom was that Gerber should update that concept to include new features that count for something with outdoorsman.

That's why the L.S.T. II has thumb studs to allow easy one-handed opening. And Softgrip® handle inserts that increase comfort and improve the grip.

Sure, the somewhat more organic architecture of the L.S.T. II is a little fancier than its predecessor. But it's still the same little rugged bugger that the boss had in mind when he set out to offer something truly revolutionary for folks who carry pocketknives.

I bought one 2 years ago at lowes. I just lost it and now I had to search to find another. Fabulous, lightweaght, beautiful sharp edge. Best overall pocket knife I have had in the last 30 years!

I am about to purchase my third LST II pocket knife. I love this knife and use it constantly. I just had to give away my second on to the TSA agent at the airport. But I will keep buying them. You will love this knife. I've been carrying them for 6 years now.

this has been the best knife i've ever owned. I've bought cheaper knives in the past, they where good but the didn't hold up to the work that i used them to do. I've done everything from open packages to opening QUICRETE bags, by far the best i've ever owned.
