The L.S.T. story began about twenty-five years ago when Pete Gerber pushed for the design of an synthetic-handled knife that could rightly be described as "Light-Strong-Tough." Later on, the prevailing wisdom was that Gerber should update that concept to include new features that count for something with outdoorsman.

That's why the L.S.T. II has thumb studs to allow easy one-handed opening. And Softgrip® handle inserts that increase comfort and improve the grip.

Sure, the somewhat more organic architecture of the L.S.T. II is a little fancier than its predecessor. But it's still the same little rugged bugger that the boss had in mind when he set out to offer something truly revolutionary for folks who carry pocketknives.

This is the best knife i have ever used. this is an all around great knife, i use it at work, school, camping, and just every whare a good sharp object is needed. i have used this knife to split wood for a fire. it has stood up to a rediculess amount of use. if you need something that fits in your pocket and can do any thing, get this knife you will not regret it.

I have owned and used literally hundreds of pocket knives over the past fifty odd years and believe I have finally found the one that is perfect for me. A single beautiful blade that comes sharp and stays sharp. A slim and lightweight design that doesn't feel like a rock in your pocket, and the smoothest, most natural one-handed opening I have ever felt. There are lots of blades out there, but this, my friend, is a knife.
