Clip Point Blade: A blade on which the back line breaks and slants downward to produce a finer and more useful point. Also, a blade format where the top of the blade has a cutout (or "clip") at the top of the blade. The cutout is either concave or straight. Clipping the blade brings the point of the knife lower, for control. It also makes the tip sharper. Since the sharp point is one of the goals of this format, the clip is often accompanied by a false edge. This format is often combined with a good-sized curving belly, for slicing ability. The combination of a controllable, sharp point and plenty of belly makes the clip point an excellent all-around format.

Best tool ever! It will do anything just about. The blade stays open and will not close without you closing it. I love this knife for all aspects of my landscaping work and personal activities. Best utility knife/tool I have ever had. This purchase will be my fourth as I give them to my formen to help them be more productive and make me more money.

We are in the mountains all the time packing with our horses and mules. This is the best knife to be carrying when your stock is in serious trouble. You can cut straps or ropes from struggling animals and don't have to worry about stabbing them. One of the handiest tools for the trail- A must to have- Only problem is they are hard to find- Should be in all outdoor and outfitters stores.
