My all time favorite knife

This is a great knife. Lightweight and strong. I carry one clipped to my front pants pocket always. The nylon grip and clip are a nice feature because it wont scratch your car when you lean over and accidentally rub the paint. when The tip is strong enough for prying, while the blade holds a sharp edge for a long time. I have owned 3 over the past 25 years (lost 2). I'm not sure the optional nylon clip (attaches at the lanyard hole) still comes with the new knives, but it ought to.

It would be better if the hinge pin were peened (like a rivet)

im 17 and have had an old version of this knife for about 8 years. my dad gave it to me so beat up that the tip was rounded. so far though ive found nothing that will stop this knife. its only flaw, and an easy one for Gerber to fix, is that it has no clip

I have a number of Gerber knives. Different knives for different uses. I was really surprised when the tip broke off while scraping against the grain on a piece of white oak. This is the first Gerber that has failed me. Hope this is not to be a new trend.

Love my LST with serrated edge. Bought 3 of them years ago and am down to the last one (through losing 'em): please bring back the serrated edge model! Simply a great all around work knife value.

I like this knife because it is light and easy to handle. What I don't like is the blade edge. It refuses to hold a sharp edge. It gets dull just folded in my pocket. I have tried different edge angles, but nothing works.
